Who the Cap Fits...

The entertainment industry is like the open ocean. It welcomes all, some ride it's waves while others drown in it. Staying afloat in such turbulent waves takes more than talent... it demands a business acumen. Big time entertainers in the world have diversified their portfolios, coming out with Perfumes, T-Shirts, Lipsticks and lots of other products, it's no suprise then seeing Nigerian entertainers towing the same light. D'banj first came up with Koko Mobile, Ruggedman came out with his own clothing line and shoes for females and Durella had his customized shoes in the market.... but now someone has decided to 'Cap' it all up.

Having held down the turn tables for more than a decade now, Jimmy Amu popularly known as Cool Dj Jimmy Jatt recently decided to have his own signature face cap, trust me it's been a long time coming.

The quality of these caps is simply of international standard, quite affordable, durable and trendy. I have my reservations with regards to the design though as it only celebrates LASGIDI... what Happened to J- Town, B-Syde, Rock City, KayDee...? I feel it's basically for Lagosians.

With this trend though, Nigerian Dj's have established themselves in the A list category of Celebrities around the world. Most importantly, when the Giggs don't come, it dosen't imply a stop to income as this other venture would always pay off.

The question now is who's next? Who will be blazing the trail with some new innovative fashion trend or item good enough to be regarded as an international symbol? Maybe one of these traditional wrappers can be endorsed by a female celebrity... just thinking out loud.
